I saw this movie many years ago and again just last month. It is a great study is how they made movies in the old days. It is also a reminder of a simpler time when people were more trusting and there was no gauntlet of security check points to get on a plane. James Stewart creates a very memorable character in Theodore Honey, who has a scientific theory on why an airplane crashed. What I really like about it is that the resolution occurs literally in the last 45 seconds of the film.

There is a colorized version you can buy or rent on YouTube, but I think the film best in its original black and white form. I won't post a link for copyright reasons, but it is very easy to find for free on YouTube.
