IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING
UNAPPROVED APPARITIONS
Since the mission of the CCF is to foster the teachings of the Catholic Church, it is the decision of Staff that, effective immediately, the debate discussions on unapproved apparitions and locutions will no longer be allowed. Previous threads on such topics will be closed, but will remain archived for your perusal. Please note the following:
· With all due respect to those decisions made by local bishops, only those apparitions, locutions and other private revelation that have the approval of the Congregation for the Doctrines of the Faith (CDF) may be discussed as non-debate topics in the Blessed Mother forum or other appropriate forum, i.e., Church History, Miscellaneous. For example, discussions regarding Medjugorie and the "Apostle Anne" are now prohibited as they have not received the CDF's approval at this date.
· Simple questions about unapproved apparitions may be asked in our Q&A forum. (NOTE: Q&A is NOT an opinion forum, but exists to provide the doctrinal teachings of the Church!)
· Since approved apparitions fall under “private revelation”, and even when approved do not require belief by the faithful, debate on those approved events may be posted in the debate forums. Depending on the nature of the topic, the appropriate forums would be

· Members are asked to refrain from sharing personal revelations to argue for or against Catholic teaching.
· Questions asking about the nature of a personal experience, relative to the faith, are welcome in the non-debate forums; however, members are cautioned that such discussion comes under the realm of private revelation and in no way implies any acceptance by the Church.
