Debate forums can get very emotional when members have opinions that are very strong and oppositional. Regardless of what your position is, the purpose of debate is to address an argument...and NOT an individual.
Please review your responses before posting to make certain you are not insulting a poster, being rude to a Moderator, or attacking any person because you don't like their position. It matters not how "faithful to the Church" your answer may be if it is violating the dignity of people, as well as our AUP.
Barbed comments, burning sarcasm, invectives against members, etc. are all fodder for infractions...which can result in losing posting privileges.
Some practical advice: Read and re-read your post before hitting the "submit reply" button! If someone's post has pushed your "hot button", walk away for a while before replying. And if a provocative comment slips past the Mods, please tell us via PM instead of augmenting the situation online.
