Earlier today, our site was disabled because of a legitimate complaint from another site of copyright infringement. Members MUSt bear in mind that copying information from copyrighted sources must LEGALLY contain appropriate accreditation. When a site is copyrighted, unless permission to copy freely is provided, only limited text, along with a citation of the source, is permitted. All else holds publishing sites responsible for infringement. Simply because material appears on the internet does NOT make it free to use!

1) Verify that the source you are using allows substantial text copying.

2) Else, keep your quotes brief and to the point. Lengthy copies are NOT necessary in most cases anyway.

3) Be absolutely certain to credit the site.

4) If the original source is one that may not be linked to CCF because of its content, site the web page name and author without a complete URL.

5) If a site specified that material may NOT be copied, you are responsible for following their site requirements, and infringement (i.e., plagiarism) will result in account privileges being removed. You may also be subject to any legal repercussions from the claimant.
