Criticizing various types of music or people's musical taste seems to be quite pointless to me. Now...I realize that my saying this is hypocritical, since I have of course done this myself, and I'm sure most people have criticized music. I have noticed, especially on forums dedicated to music or to a specific band, that people are all too quick to rip a band to shreds. Why?

For most people, I think the topic of Hell is an uncomfortable one. I know it was for me for the longest time. Being exposed to a lot of different Protestant sects growing up, I was exposed to a lot of different views when it came to Hell. This issue has been addresssed on the forum, but even so, I thought it would be a good topic to address in a blog, especially since there are many reasons why I personally disagree with using the term "Roman Catholic."

Normally I wouldn't think much could be learned from secular rock and roll, except for a select few artists...but believe it or not, I ran across a song by Black Sabbath that really stood out to me.
