WELCOME TO SACRED HEART PARISH!
"Building the City
of God" is our call and our mission, personally and as a faith community. The
City of God is not so much a place as a destiny, a journey toward enabling the
reign of God to become ever more influential in our world. Sacred Heart's history
recounts remarkable dedication to parochial education. the missions and the
needy. Collaboration among priests, sisters, and laity, between Catholic parishes,
as well as ecumenically, is enabling greater visibility of the reign of God
in the Sedalia community. As Sacred Heart enjoys its 159th year, St. John the
Evangelist, our mission parish, will celebrate its 163rd anniversary in the
fall of 1998. We dedicate this web site to those who have left us this rich
heritage, as well as to those who will carry it into the next millennium.
