IF YOU ARE IN THE 8TH GRADE OR ABOVE and are interested in becoming a Junior Lector or to help as a leader or assistant with the Children’s Liturgy, please contact Joan Edwards, at (704) 531-0166, or e-mail her at joanyedwards@earthlink.net. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED to take groceries to the Catholic Center (on Church Street downtown) on Monday morning after Share Sunday. If you have a station wagon or pick-up truck, please call the church office, (704) 536-6520. Planning A Baptism? Parents and expectant parents who wish to have their children baptized in the Catholic faith must attend a Baptismal Preparation Class. This class is held at St. John Neumann Church on a monthly basis. Please call the Parish Office, (704) 536-6520, to register for the class and schedule the Baptism. Want To Be An RCIA Sponsor? Have you ever considered being an RCIA sponsor? Please stop at the Religious Education office after the 10 a.m. Mass on March 7 to inquire. YOUNG VOICES SING OUT
-- Our St. John Neumann Youth Choir is now singing at the
6 p.m. Sunday Mass, and another new choir - for the Children of our parish has
begun a series of weekly rehearsals. These groups are open to all, and weekly
rehearsals will continue throughout the school year. WANTED: INSTRUCTIONS on how to say the Rosary in other languages. If you speak another language and can provide this information, contact Diana, (704) 531-2456. Especially needed is help in Korean, Hungarian, Creole, Greek, Dutch, French and German. SINCE YOU'RE GOING TO MASS ANYWAY, why not drive someone who needs a ride? Call Diana, (704) 531-2456, only if you can volunteer to drive a person in need of transportation to Mass. Stewardship Commitment Cards -- If you have not submitted a Stewardship Commitment Card you can still do so at any given time. The document is linked here and can be mailed or dropped in the weekly collection basket to the attention of the Parish office. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED to help work at the Men’s Homeless Shelter. We prepare dinner on the first Saturday of the month. For details about volunteering, contact Barbara Sladek. COMMUNITY PRAYER - The Evangelization Commission invites you to attend a prayer session at 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday each month in Classroom B. There will be prayer for the church community, church and world leaders, and church ministries. If you have a prayer need and cannot attend, call Gail Horne, (704) 545-0021, or Donna Rayle, (704) 545-8916. PILGRIM MARY - The blessed statue of Mary is in our parish and is being moved to different households each week. If you would like the Pilgrim Mary statue for a week, please contact Sandy Major at (704) 573-9054.

NON-SMOKING BINGO -- A reminder that our Friday night Bingo at St. John Neumann Parish Hall is now smoke-free. In conjunction with the Great American Smokeout, the Knights of Columbus Council 7343 here at St. John Neumann has made that change. We invite all parishioners to join us for the Friday night bingo.
