Parish Council - The Parish Council determines the direction of the parish through the development of a Mission Statement and by setting annual goals and objectives of the parish. The Parish Council advises and councils the Pastor in all facets of parish life. Parish Council members represent the whole parish, are selected by parish members and are called to promote the mission of Christ as exemplified in the Mission Statement of the Parish. Parish Council members serve three year terms.
Finance Committee - The Finance Committee consists of seven members of the parish who are appointed by the pastor in accord with the code of Cannon Law. They advise and give council  to the pastor, prepare the annual budget and oversee the finances of the parish. They work with the Parish Council and the Board of Education in presentation of the annual budget.

We Worship
Liturgy Committee - The Liturgy Committee in union with the parish priests provides for the liturgical life of the parish. They sponsor a variety of educational programs for liturgical learning. They assess the liturgical needs of the parish, they bring together and oversee those responsible for leadership in liturgical ministries and they plan all liturgical celebrations.
Eucharistic Ministries - The Ministers of Communion assist in the distribution of Holy Communion at all of the celebrations of the Eucharist in the parish.
Ministry to the homebound - These Ministers of Communion bring Holy Communion to the homebound and to those temporarily unable to participate in the Sunday Liturgy.
Lectors - The Lectors proclaim the Word of God in the Eucharistic Liturgy and other paraliturgical services. Their ministry is to proclaim the Scripture whenever the parish assembles for Liturgy.
Art and Environment - This committee plans and executes the decorations of the church for each liturgical season. They design banners, flower arrangements and all that enhances the decor of the church.
Altar Servers - Altar Servers are the boys and girls of our parish family called to minister as acolytes at the celebration of the Eucharist. All young people who have entered the fifth grade are eligible for this ministry.
Altar Society - The Altar Society attends to the cleaning and care of the sanctuary. Groups of six rotate throughout the year. The work is done weekly following the 8:00 A.M. Mass. All are invited to help this work.
Ministry of Hospitality
Greeters - By greeting and being greeted there is a communion among God's people as they enter the church to celebrate. Those who act as greeters are a sign of welcome that Ste. Genevieve has for all who worship with us. All parishioners, young and old, are invited to this ministry.
Ushers - The ushers assist in seating before Mass begins. They pass the collection basket, distribute bulletins after Mass and see that all is in order in the church. All men and women of the parish are invited to be part of this ministry.
Music Ministry
Choir - Singing is praying twice! The choir leads the whole assembly to offer praise to the Lord. The choir sings regularly at the 9:30 am Mass. Lawrence Bommarito is our parish music director and also directs the choir.
Guitar Group - This group plays and sings for the 5:00 pm Vigil Mass on Saturdays. It is under the direction of Walter Kempf.
Funeral Choir - The Funeral Choir is a group of men and women of the parish who lead the singing at funeral liturgies. They are volunteers who are able to be present on weekday mornings. The funeral choir expresses the unity of our parish family with the family of the deceased.

We Teach
Board of Education - The purpose of the Ste. Genevieve Board of Education is to advise the pastor in making policy for the parish educational programs. In our parish this includes the parish school, the parish school of religion and adult education programs. The function of the board is to establish the operative educational policy; apply the policies of the Archdiocesan Board of Education; to develop long range priorities; and to broaden and deepen community relations.
Parish School - Ste. Genevieve du Bois School was begun in 1957 to provide an all encompassing academic program in a Catholic setting. Our mission is to educate the whole child: spiritually, intellectually, emotionally and physically. From kindergarten through Eighth grade we provide an accredited educational program based upon our traditional Christian values and the solid fundaments of elementary education. Basic technological education is offered to all students from K through 8. Ste. Genevieve du Bois School seeks to help all of the parents of the parish to fulfill their responsibility to be the best teachers of their children. The school has been named a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Education.
Parish School of Religion - Ste.Genevieve and St. Peter Parish collaborate in the PSR meets on Monday evening from 6:35 P.M. until 7:45 P.M. Children who attend public elementary school are invited to register for this program at the start of the school year. The PSR program strives to teach gospel values. Its purpose is to educate the children to hear and live the Good News, to proclaim into action. Kerry Sallwasser directs the PSR program.
Adult Education - The Adult Education Programs of our parish invite all adults to find in Jesus a model of the mature Christian. Adult Education hopes to foster a community in which all are able to experience the mystery and presence of God in their lives. Programs are offered for adults at various times throughout the year with notification in the parish bulletin.
Catechumenate Program - This program is our parish's means of employing the "Rites of Christian Initiation for Adults" (RCIA). It offers those who  are interested in entering the Catholic Church an avenue of instruction in weekly classes on Tuesday evenings from September to May. Anyone interested in this program should call the rectory.

We Serve
St. Vincent de Paul Society - The St. Vincent de Paul Society is a worldwide lay organization of  Christian men and women dedicated to  helping the poor and disadvantaged. There is no need which is outside the concern of the Society. The first priority of the Ste. Genevieve Conference is to help the members of our own parish when there is need. Because of generosity of many of our parishioners we have been able to reach outward into the community and twin with parishes in areas where the needs are overwhelming. Meetings are held on the first and third Monday of the month. Anyone wishing to help is invited to join the Society.
St. Liborius Social Ministries - This parish has operated for the past ten years a food pantry in the old St. Liborius Church basement. Food, provided by our parishioners, is distributed weekly to inner city people who live below or at the poverty level. Help is also provided with utilities, clothing, rent, legal problems, job placement and many other needs. The St. Vincent de Paul Society of the parish helps also in providing for the needs of our clients. St. Liborius is open every Thursday from 9:30 am until noon. It is staffed by parish volunteers. Parishioners are asked to donate food or the money to buy food on the third Sunday of each month. Everyone in the parish is invited to volunteer.
Parish Pro-Life Committee - The Pro-Life Committee underscores the commitment of the parish family to the sacredness of life. It proclaims that life is God's gift from the moment of conception until the moment of death. All life is worthy of protection and deserves the respect of all. The committee strives, both within and outside the parish, to proclaim the Gospel of Life. It also works to address the specific needs of women with problems related to pregnancy through agencies such as Birthright and Our Lady's Inn. 
Martha and Mary Society - This group provides support to parishioners who are ill or who have a family death. Members of the Martha and Mary Society volunteer to help with food and with other services that may be needed at these times. The society visits the sick, elderly and home-bound and provides meals when needed.
St. Vincent Soup Kitchen - St. Vincent de Paul Parish on Ninth Street operates a soup kitchen to feed the homeless and the indigent. Volunteers from Ste. Genevieve operate the soup kitchen on the last Sunday of the month. All parishioners are welcome to volunteer.
Legion of Mary - The Legion of Mary is an association of people who meet weekly to pray and to work in the evangelization mission of the church. They pray for and work for the return of those of the parish who have left the church.

We Are Community
Ladies Guild - The Ladies Guild is a service organization that helps to promote the spiritual and temporal welfare of the parish as well as assisting in our material needs. Every women in the parish is invited to participate in the Guild and its activities. The Ladies Guild is the center of the volunteer activity in the parish.
Ste. Genevieve du Bois PTO - An organization of school parents who encourage active interest and participation on the part of the entire parish in school activities. Volunteer programs, social functions, and fund-raising efforts are all concerns of this association of parents. All school parents are invited to belong as well as anyone else who might have an interest in the school.
Harvesters - The Ste. Genevieve Harvesters is an organization of men and women who are 50 years young and over. They come together periodically for social events and also to travel near and far. It is open to all past 50 whether married, single or widowed. There are no formal meetings, no fund-raisers.
Athletic Commission - The purpose of the Ste. Genevieve Athletic Commission is to help the youth of our parish to develop physically through their participation in various sporting activities. This purpose is achieved by teaching good sportsmanship, respect for rules and for authority and by the Athletic Commission include: Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, Basketball and Soccer. The Athletic Commission meets on the second Thursday of every month.
Life Teen Ministry - This group provides our high school age parishioners social and religious experiences within the parish. In conjunction with our neighboring parishes of Annunziata and Immacolata this ministry to youth is offered.
Scouting - Ste. Genevieve du Bois Parish offers the full complement of scouting activities. There are Girl and Boy Scout troops; there are Cub Scout and Brownie troops. Scouting opens up opportunities for children, working in partnership with adult volunteers.
Golf Committee - This committee plans and sponsors the annual parish golf tournament. The tournament is held in the Fall of each year.
Ladies Bridge Group - The two groups of ladies meet monthly during the daytime hours in each other's homes for lunch and 20 hands of bridge. The groups consist of beginner players to very experienced players. A luncheon and awards are given at the end of the year.
Couples Bridge Group - They meet on the second Sunday evening of each month, September through May (no December meeting).
